Richards Darrell Lynn Richards, resident of Floresville, passed peacefully away Wednesday, April 7, 2010, at 9:25 a.m., in Floresville, at the age of 52 years, 2 months, 18 days. Darrell was born January 20, 1958, in San Antonio, the son of Wallace Richards and Janell M. Koenning Richards. He was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in San Antonio. He graduated from McCollum High School in San Antonio, and was a sheet metal fabricator with Texas Sheet Metal for many years. Darrell enjoyed fishing, and buying and restoring old cars in his spare time. He loved country western and old rock music, and was always planning trips and enjoying life. Darrell was always helping others. Darrell is survived by his parents, Wallace and Janell Richards of San Antonio; his brother, Michael Richards of Floresville; his sisters, Cheryl Jonas and husband Lewis of Pleasanton, and Elaine Arocha and husband Fermin of San Antonio; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins; a host of many friends; and his beloved dog, Kona. Darrell’s beloved Aunt Dodo provided all her loving care. Darrell was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Alice and Paul Richards Sr.; and his maternal grandparents, Bertha and William Koenning Jr. Visitation began at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, and a celebration of life service was held at 6:00 p.m. Saturday, April 10, 2010, at Vinyard Funeral Home Chapel in Floresville. Funeral services began at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, April 11, 2010, at Vinyard Funeral Home Chapel in Floresville, officiated by Kelly Tankersley, S.A.M. Interment followed at Floresville City Cemetery in Floresville. He is survived by his wife, Laura Ann Warner-Malone of Saint Ann, Missouri; his daughters, Gina Marie Malone and fiance’ Jason West of Devine, Jamie Renae Malone of Pleasanton and his son, Ike Sharp Malone of Pleasanton. He is also survived by his sisters, Mickie Pease and husband Henry and Mary Holmes and husband J. W. and grandchildren, Ian Scott, Arynn Grace Malone and Whitley Anne West. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jimmy Malone and Ruth Burgess. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, April 16, 2010 at Hurley Funeral Home in Pleasanton. Herrera Domingo “Quicy” Herrera, Jr., resident of Poteet, Texas passed away on Tuesday, April 13, 2010 at the age of 38 years. He is survived by his parents, Domingo V. Herrera Sr. and Maria Herlinda Herrera of Poteet; and brothers and sisters, Ramiro Herrera, Loretta Garza and husband Joe, Yvonne Herrera, and Carlos M. Herrera and wife Liz, all of Poteet. McCain, age 55, of East Bernard, passed away on Sunday, April 11, 2010, in Sugar Land. He is survived by his mother, Betty McCain; his wife, Cynthia McCain and daughters, Amanda and Melissa McCain all of East Bernard. Cason Phillip Earl Cason, age 67, of Pleasanton, passed away on Sunday, April 11, 2010, in San Antonio. Mr. Cason was a decorated Vietnam veteran. His tour of duty took him to several Middle Eastern countries, including Saudi Arabia, Yemen, and Turkey . After serving in the military he worked as a civil servant at Brooks Air Force Base and retired in 2007. He served in the capacity of life support equipment specialist for Brooks A. F. B. for 22 years. Mr. Cason was an active member of his church. Mr. Cason he also a member of Alamo Woodcarvers Association both State and National, lifetime member of the D.A.V. and N.R.A. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Marie Cason of Pleasanton and sons, Robert Cason and Ronald Cason both of San Antonio . He is also survived by his brother, Alfred R. Cason of Jacksonville, Florida. He is preceded in death by his parents, Buren and Mazie Louise Cason and sister, Anne Agee. Phillip was loved by his family, sons, nieces and nephews and was an outstanding father. He will be loved and missed by all. Services are still pending at this time. Carrasco, age 80 of Charlotte passed away on Tuesday, April 6, 2010, in San Antonio. Mrs. Carrasco was born January 16, 1930 in Prairie Hill. Carrasco and wife Erlinda of Pleasanton, Jesus Carrasco of Charlotte, Robert V. Carrasco and wife Tommie of Pleasanton. She is also survived by her sisters and brother, Estefana Rios of Taft, Janie Ortiz of Lorenzo, Santos Fuentes of Taft; 21 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
