Rodriguez
Maggie Rodriguez of Charlotte passed away Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at the age of 27. Maggie was born September 9, 1982 in Jourdanton. She is preceded in death by her grandparents Benito and Julia Juarez. She is survived by her father Jose Rodriguez of Charlotte and mother Magarita (Juarez) Rodriguez of Charlotte; husband Noel Mendoza of Charlotte; sons Thomas James (TJ) Mendoza, Ivan Mendoza both of Charlotte; daughters Destine Cruz, Esperanza Mendoza, Daisy Mendoza and Mia Lynn Mendoza all of Charlotte; sister Susie Badillo of Pleasanton and Debbie Zuniga and husband Chris and Jennifer Rodriguez all of Charlotte. She also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation was held Thursday, February 11, 2010 from 2-9 p.m. at Hurley Funeral Home in Pleasanton with a rosary recited at 7 p.m. Services were held Friday, February 12, 2010 at 10 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church with interment at Charlotte Community Cemetery. Everardo “Eddie” Paul Rodriguez peacefully left this world, with his daughter Emika Jo by his side, to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, February 10, 2010 in San Antonio at the age of 53, after a courageous battle with cancer. His favorite pastimes included umpiring, coaching youth sports and hunting. Eddie retired from the Texas Farm Bureau Insurance Companies after 25 years of dedicated service. His list of accomplishments with Farm Bureau include: Professional Agent – 1 year; Career Agent – 9 years; Round Table – 2 years; All Star – 2 years; Pro Agent Holiday – 3 years; Big 10 Blazer – 1 year; Century Club – 1 year; Production Club – 2 years; NQA – 2 years; • 10 ˝ Pin – 1 year. He is preceded in death by his High School sweetheart and wife Josie Rodriguez and step-dad Moises Herrera. He is survived by his mother Ruth Herrera and his father Manuel Rodriguez Sr., both of Pleasanton; his common-law wife Audrey Martinez of Pearsall and her son James; his children Emika Jo Chapa of Pleasanton, Manuel Rodriguez III of Floresville, Marci Rodriguez-Smith of San Antonio and Willie Rodriguez of Pearsall; brothers and sisters Manuel and wife Stela Rodriguez of Hanford, California, Mary Ann and husband Baldemar Barrera of Pleasanton, Janie Sue and husband Terry Garcia of Pleasanton, Catarino and wife Crystal Rodriguez of Zapata, Patsy Peralez of Sinton, Cindy and husband James Ivey of El Paso, Elizabeth and husband Johnny Amaro of Pleasanton, Melissa and husband Raymond Ramirez of Pleasanton; grandchildren Emily Jo, Christopher, Matthew, “The Twinkies” Matthew and Mark, Danielle, Andrew, Seth, Zachary and Rayann along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; also the two remaining “Musketeers” Glen Poppe and Gary Soward. A rosary was held on Friday, February 12, 2010, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Pearsall. A Celebration of his Life was celebrated by Father Gilberto Vallejo on Saturday, February 13, 2010 at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in Pleasanton with interment at St. Andrew’s Catholic Cemetery #2 in Pleasanton. Pallbearers included Justin Garcia, Jake Uribe, Glen Poppe, Gary Soward, Roy Telles, Robert Vega, Luis Martinez and Eric Bishop. Orozco
Desiderio (Dee) Sanchez Orozco, age 62, previously of Jourdanton passed away at his home on February 8, 2010 at Sweetwater. Preceding him in death was his wife Benita; his parents Erasmo and Adelina Sanchez Orozco and his sisters Ava and Mary. He is survived by three sons Danny Orozco and Lee Orozco and wife Jessica all of Sweetwater and Michael Orozco and wife Gracie of Pleasanton; two daughters Stefanie Orozco and Laura Hernandez and husband Jeff all of Sweetwater. He is also survived by one brother Roy Orozco from Rosco; two sisters Joe Ann from Jourdanton and Dora from San Antonio; 11 grandchildren and one niece Jeri from Jourdanton. Viewing was held Thursday, February 11, 2010 from 5-9 p.m. Service was on Friday, February 12, 2010 at 10 a.m. at Chapel of Memories. Interment followed in the Sweetwater Cemtery in Sweetwater. Services under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home in Sweetwater.
